ll IITs are regulated by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India so the Fee for all program in IITs decided by MHRD ministry. The students belonging to families with an annual income less than Rs. five lakh will be entitled to a waiver of two-thirds of the tuition fee, irrespective of their category. The rest of the students who do not fall under any of these categories will be helped with loans to fund their education, the officials said.

The total fee to be paid for the Autumn Semester 2016-17 is Rs.67,876 (for GEN / OBC candidates-Other Backward Class (OBC) i) and Rs. 22,876 (for SC-scheduled caste/ST Scheduled Tribes/PD physically disabled).
If you choose for hostel accommodation at IIT Bombay, you must pay Rs. 16,000 (Rs. 2,000 refundable mess advance + Rs. 13,000 Semester mess advance + Rs.1,000 towards Bus pass for internal transport for IITB Campus.)
